Great to meet you!

Rikki McCoy, LCSW is a Licensed Therapist and the Founder of Flourishing Minds, a private practice and healing space based in Atlanta, Georgia. A proud graduate of Clark Atlanta University and Fayetteville State University, Rikki serves clients both locally and worldwide.

As a Holistic Therapist and RYT 500, she integrates evidence-based therapy with trauma-informed yoga, breathwork, meditation, reiki, sound healing, and LGBTQIA+-affirmative care to support deep mind-body-spirit healing. Her work is rooted in creating spaces where individuals can reconnect with safety, softness, and self-trust.

Rikki is known for leading with heart, purpose, and community, continuing the legacy of Black excellence in social work, wellness, and holistic healing.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is holistic, trauma-informed, and grounded in the mind-body connection. I believe healing happens when we move beyond talk alone and begin working with the body, the nervous system, and lived experience.

I integrate evidence-based therapy with embodied practices such as breathwork, mindfulness, trauma-informed yoga, reiki, and sound healing to support regulation, safety, and self-trust. Rather than pushing for change through willpower or “fixing,” I help clients gently reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and internal wisdom at a pace that feels sustainable.

My work is LGBTQIA+ affirming, culturally responsive, and rooted in compassion. I create spaces where softness, rest, and authenticity are honored, especially for high-functioning individuals who are used to surviving rather than feeling. Therapy with me is about unlearning survival patterns, restoring balance to the nervous system, and cultivating a more embodied, aligned way of living.

What you can expect from me

The first session focuses on building safety and trust. We’ll explore what brings you to therapy, your goals, and how your body and nervous system respond to stress, moving at a pace that feels supportive and grounded.
