Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Rita Billow, Ph.D., and I'm glad you're here. I work with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression and life's many transitions. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just unsure where to begin, I provide a compassionate space where we can explore what's happening and help you move toward clarity and healing. My approach is affirming, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices tailored to your unique needs and goals.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel both safe and empowering. I draw from a trauma-informed lens and integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma-Informed Therapy (including EMDR and somatic tools), and mindfulness-based approaches. My work is client-centered and strengths-based--we go at your pace, and I'm here to help you build insight, resilience, and skills that support long-term growth.

What you can expect from me

I am passionate about supporting people through difficult transitions, grief, identity development, mental health struggles, and the impacts of systemic stress and marginalization. I offer affirming care to all individuals. Whether we're addressing chronic stress, navigating loss, or working through past trauma, our work together is focused on creating meaningful, sustainable change.
