Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am so glad you are taking this step for yourself, and I hope to meet you soon! I have completed masters degrees in both psychology and counseling, and I have gained experience in a community counseling center for families, a college counseling center, and a partial hospitalization eating disorder treatment center. I specialize in Internal Family Systems, Emotion Focused Family Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), and Compassion Focused Therapy.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I have a warm, affirming, open-minded approach, and I know that the client is the expert in their own life! I team up with you to identify the areas of your life where you are feeling stuck, and together we come up with goals that align with your values and dreams. I also specialize in Emotion Focused Family Therapy, helping caregivers improve their relationship with their loved one and implement emotion-coaching and behavioral interventions to increase understanding between parent and child.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients typically increase awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors-- understanding "why they do what they do". Clients typically increase self-acceptance and self-compassion. This often leads to being able to lead a life with more intentional choices, rather than "living on autopilot". Clients often report improved relationships with their friends and family and increased intimacy and closeness as a result.
