Rita Martinez

Hi, my name is Rita and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Florida. I began my career working closely with adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, supporting them with employment goals, social skills development, and building emotional regulation tools. That work naturally expanded into supporting families and caregivers who were navigating their own complex emotions alongside their loved ones. It taught me early on how layered and deeply personal healing can be for everyone involved. Over time, my clinical focus has grown to include working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, and those carrying long-standing emotional wounds that feel heavy or hard to untangle. I’m especially passionate about helping clients make sense of their internal world without judgment, and building practical ways to feel more grounded and in control of their lives.

As a social worker, I approach therapy by looking at the full picture of your life. This includes your history, relationships, environment, and the broader systems that have shaped your experiences. My focus is on helping you recognize patterns that may have developed over time and gently exploring where they originated. From there, we work toward creating meaningful change that feels possible and sustainable, while also building a deeper understanding of yourself along the way.

Our first session together will be the opportunity to get to know each other. Some people come in ready to dive into what’s been hard, while others need time to settle in. We will discuss what hasn’t worked in therapy before as well as what has worked. We’ll move at your pace. My role is to listen, understand your story, and start building a foundation of trust that supports real progress over time.
