My name is Rita Perez, and I’m a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) providing telehealth services to patients across Nevada.
I’ve been caring for individuals with a wide range of mental health needs since beginning my nursing career 12 years ago, and I have been practicing as a psychiatric provider since 2022.
My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, attention and impulse-related conditions for ages 12 and up.
My approach is comprehensive, focusing on understanding each patient as a whole person rather than reducing their experience to a list of symptoms alone.
I recognize that every aspect of life can influence our mental well-being. Relationships, work, past experiences, behaviors, and thought patterns all play an important role in shaping how we feel and function in the present.
Our first session will consist of a one-hour comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, focusing on your current mental state as well as psychiatric, medical, and social history.
Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that takes your lifestyle and mental health goals into account. Care may include medication management (both traditional and holistic approaches), brief psychotherapy skills tailored to your primary concerns, and lifestyle modifications.
