Great to meet you!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Tennessee with 38 years of experience in the field working with veterans (male and female), families, and seniors at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Not only did I provide services to clients/patients, I supervised staff, and trained students. I also conducted groups focusing on life skills. In addition, I have presented workshops/seminars on a variety of topics including self-care, grief, ethics, leadership, and diversity.
I believe that every person carries within them a deep well of strength, an innate capacity for resilience, growth, and healing, even in moments when life feels heavy, overwhelming, chaotic, or uncertain. Mental health is not just about the absence of illness or distress—it’s about it is the presence of and cultivating balance, self-awareness, and a sense of meaning that allows us to navigate life’s challenges with strength and grace.
In my work as a therapist and social worker, I see each client as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms or struggles. Your experiences, values, and identity matter deeply, and they shape the way we work together. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and truly heard—a space where vulnerability is met with compassion, and where your voice is central to the process. My role, too, is to walk alongside you, and you bring your lived experiences, hopes, and challenges, and I bring tools, insights, and unwavering support. Together, we explore what’s concerning you, uncover your strengths, and build strategies that help you move forward with confidence.
