Robert Pompa, LCSW, MSW

(call me Rob,( never Bob))

Hey! As a therapist, disability advocate, and yes, a recovering human, I work with people who've been through the wringer and aren't letting it win.

With a background in healthcare, HIV, chronic illness, and trauma stuff, I help clients build lives they love, using EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, TIC-CBT, DBT, and a good dose of "gay audacity."

I'm all about boosting your awesome strengths, from your rebellious side to your dark humor, and teaching boundary-setting so you can live your best life.

As the founder of Pozitive Approach Counseling and Consultation Services, I am accepting a limited # of clients for telehealth mental health counseling. When I'm not doing that, I'm busy advocating through inspirational photography on my Picfair page

https://ropo63.picfair.com/,

consulting with HIV-related agencies, or creating journals to support the LGBT community, riding my e-bike, walking, swimming, gardening, and learning to enjoy my own company.

My story is all about finding strength in adversity and learning to love oneself. My commitment to helping others and this knack for finding beauty in challenges are, in themselves, healing in action. The trauma is real, but so is the strength to rise above it.

How I Roll: Your No-Bullshit Guide to Healing

My approach?

"Trauma-informed" meets "gay audacity"

(not the "HEY GURL!" kind, rather the

" balls to live in the fullness of my gay self", kind.}

STRENGTHS WE’LL AMPLIFY:

Your rebellious spirit

(even if it’s buried under people-pleasing)

Dark humor as armor

(if you can laugh at the looming apocalypse, we’ll vibe)

"Fuck survival mode" energy

→ building a life that thrives on your terms

Boundary sorcery

(converting guilt into unshakeable "NO")
