Great to meet you!

Evolutionary psychology helps us understand the instincts we carry. Eastern philosophy helps us question the ego that often runs the show. My therapy approach is influenced by both. I am deeply curious about the hidden drivers of human behavior — why we want what we want, avoid what we avoid, repeat what we repeat, and struggle to change even when we know better. My goal is to help clients understand themselves at a deeper level, offer practical tools and resources, and support them as they work toward meaningful change. Being human is complicated, but sometimes the next right step can be simple.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is honest, compassionate, and action-oriented. I am a good fit for men who are ready to look at patterns that are no longer serving them and make meaningful changes. I believe therapy should feel supportive, but also useful — a place where you can be challenged respectfully, gain insight, build practical tools, and move toward living with more integrity, purpose, and emotional freedom. I draw from my background in addiction treatment, recovery work, social work, and behavioral health leadership to help clients better understand themselves, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and reconnect with their values. I am especially interested in helping men move from shame, avoidance, anger, disconnection, or feeling stuck into greater honesty, responsibility, and self-respect.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a relaxed but focused conversation. I will spend time getting to know what brought you to therapy, what you are hoping to change, and what feels most important right now. I will ask questions about your history, current stressors, relationships, patterns, strengths, and goals. My style is warm, direct, and curious. I want the first session to feel comfortable, but also useful. We will begin identifying what is getting in the way, what you want to better understand about yourself, and what kind of support or tools may be helpful moving forward.
