Great to meet you!

Over the course of my career, I've had the privilege of working with people across the full span of life — from infants and young children all the way through older adults — in a wide range of social service settings. That breadth of experience has given me a deep appreciation for how different each person's journey is, and how important it is to meet people where they are. My areas of specialization include but are not limited to substance use treatment, PTSD and trauma-informed care, grief, single parenting, interpersonal violence, depression, neurodiversity, especially related to education, and gender affirming-care.

My approach to therapy

My clinical style is grounded in empathetic and compassionate listening, creating a space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. I believe that every individual possesses unique strengths and resilience, and I work collaboratively with clients to identify and build upon those strengths as a foundation for growth, healing, and meaningful change.

My approach is both strengths-based and evidence-informed, combining warmth and authenticity with clinically sound interventions. I utilize evidence-based practices tailored to each client's needs, ensuring that treatment is both effective and personally meaningful. By fostering self-awareness, confidence, and practical coping skills, I help clients navigate challenges, build resilience, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

The first session is truly about you. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, sharing your story, and learning more about the therapeutic process. I want you to know that we will move at a pace that feels right for you, and there is no pressure to share more than you're ready to.

During this initial session, we'll also spend time gathering information about your bio-psycho-social history, including the experiences, relationships, and life circumstances that have shaped you. This helps me develop a deeper understanding of your unique story so we can work together to create a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals. My hope is that you leave the session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer understanding of how we can work together moving forward.
