Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Robbie, an LCSW offering online therapy with flexible scheduling to help you navigate anxiety, depression, relationship and family issues, and tough life phases. I also work with people carrying heavier loads: bipolar disorder and the mood swings that come with it, panic attacks, PTSD, anger and irritability that show up faster than you would like, substance use and the work of recovery, stress and burnout, grief and loss, end of life concerns, and the mental health weight of living with chronic illness or another physical health condition. Our sessions skip rigid clinical jargon to focus on practical, solution-oriented strategies that fit your day-to-day life. Together, we will build an affirmative, collaborative space. I am looking forward to working with you toward a better tomorrow.

My approach to therapy

I believe a successful therapeutic relationship is based on a foundation of trust built from the very first session. That means I am not going to fill our time with rigid clinical jargon or ask you to perform being okay. I will ask direct questions, I will tell you what I actually think, and we will spend most of our time on strategies you can use between sessions, the practical, solution-oriented kind that fit around work, family, and whatever else your week looks like. My space is affirmative and collaborative: you set the goals, and I bring the structure and the accountability. Whether you are managing anxiety and panic, steadying out mood swings, working on your recovery, or figuring out how to live well alongside a chronic condition, my aim is that you leave each session with something concrete to try.

What you can expect from me

As a client, you should expect, and will be provided a safe, supportive and welcoming environment to heal your inner self.
