Great to meet you!

Great to meet you. If you are navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, stress, relationship challenges, identity concerns, trauma, grief, anger, family issues, substance use concerns, or the feeling that something in your life has become harder to manage, therapy can help you better understand what is happening and what needs to change. I work with adults and seniors who want a thoughtful, supportive space to explore their experiences, strengthen self awareness, and build healthier ways of coping. I have been a psychotherapist for 42 years, hold a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology, and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I have also taught Psychology to college students for 25 years. My work is grounded in the belief that effective therapy starts with a trusting, empathetic relationship and that treatment should be shaped around each person's unique needs, goals, and path toward growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, open minded, affirming, and collaborative. I believe therapy is most effective when you feel understood as a whole person, not reduced to a diagnosis or a single problem. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Positive Psychology, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Strength Based Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy to tailor care to your needs. In sessions, we may look at patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, identity, family system, and coping strategies while identifying practical changes that support progress. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, autism-related concerns, stress, trauma, grief, anger, substance use, or relationship issues, our work will focus on helping you move toward greater clarity, stability, and emotional well being.

What you can expect from me

You can expect therapy to begin with getting to know one another, talking through what brings you in, and deciding together whether the fit feels right. I aim to create a warm, open, and respectful space where you can speak honestly, feel heard, and begin identifying the areas of your life you want to better understand or improve. Over time, therapy can help you build stronger coping skills, improve relationships, manage stress more effectively, process difficult emotions, strengthen identity and self understanding, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges. My goal is to support meaningful growth at a pace that feels thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in what matters most to you.
