Great to meet you!

Sometimes life can become complicated in ways that are difficult to sort through on your own. You may be navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship or family concerns, or a major personal or professional transition. You may also be thinking about what comes next as you move through midlife or later life, including changes in work, retirement, health, family roles, or your sense of purpose. I bring a calm, grounded, and practical presence to therapy, shaped by years of experience helping people navigate complex life circumstances. My work is especially focused on adults facing these challenges, including men's issues and end-of-life concerns. In addition to my clinical background, I spent more than 30 years in corporate leadership, including serving as president of divisions within publicly traded companies. That experience has given me a deep understanding of the pressures that can come with leadership, career, family, responsibility, and major life change.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a place where you can slow things down, think clearly, and talk honestly about what you're experiencing. My style is calm, engaged, practical, and collaborative. Together, we'll work to understand what is contributing to the challenges you're facing, identify patterns that may be getting in the way, and determine what can help you move forward. Whether you're working through anxiety or depression, processing grief or trauma, navigating a relationship or family concern, or trying to find your footing during a major transition, I'll tailor our work to your circumstances and goals. My role is not to tell you how to live your life, but to offer perspective, support, and practical guidance as you make decisions and create meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, particularly if you're used to handling difficult situations on your own. In our first session, you can expect a respectful, supportive conversation focused on what brought you to therapy and what you would like life to look like moving forward. I'll take time to understand your background, your current circumstances, and the goals that matter most to you. I'll listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and work with you to develop a clearer picture of what you're carrying and what kind of support would be most useful. You will not be rushed or judged, and you don't need to have everything figured out before we begin. My hope is that you leave our first session feeling heard, more grounded, and clear on the next steps we can take together. If you're ready to begin, I invite you to schedule a session through my profile.
