Great to meet you!

Struggling and need more than concepts? Allow me to encourage you, to find your strengths, and to challenge your weaknesses. Humor in life and in therapy can be a powerful tool or a deficit, depending on the circumstance. I try best to use it to lighten what might be a heavy session. Of course, each person must understand that change begins within the person themselves. Nobody can make you change. Yes, you will make mistakes, relapse on old negative habits, and this is where learning to have compassion on yourself is important, different from making excuses. Allow me to help you to truly implement the desire of change.

Having lived and worked in other countries and multiple states in the US, I fully appreciate how environments and culture can affect us. Yet, I also understand the power we have in controlling that affect.

Have you gone into Nature lately, to release stress? Consider it and enjoy the tweety birds!

My approach to therapy

I use a pragmatic Solution Focus approach to motivate change. Specific Evidence Based skills are taught and practiced. Emotive skills are pragmatically broken down to encourage honest awareness of self, Body Mindfulness. One session may purely be CBT, and then another utilizing Tapping (EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique).

What you can expect from me

If a client begins to use (daily) the skills taught in the first two sessions, they will begin to see change in two weeks! The catch, the client must do the work, daily. Have you heard of the four steps to appropriately deal with thoughts and feelings? Session one teaches that. "I struggle to not show my anger in bad ways." What practical steps are you using to mitigate the escalation, if any?

If you have a faith and want to better utilize it for support, that as well can be explored, when requested.
