Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Bob! If you’re here, you might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just tired of carrying everything on your own. Maybe you’re navigating stress, relationship challenges, family dynamics, or a life transition that feels harder than expected. Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m a Clinical Social Worker with nearly 30 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. I work with pre-teens, teens, adults, and families from all walks of life, and my goal is simple: to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and genuinely understood from the very beginning.

Over the years, I’ve worked across private practice, nonprofit organizations, psychiatric hospitals, and juvenile probation, where I spent two decades supporting individuals with substance use and mental health needs. Earlier in my career, I was a firefighter and paramedic, as well as a small business owner, experiences that continue to shape my grounded, real-world perspective. I support clients through anxiety, stress, family and parenting challenges, substance use, life transitions, identity exploration, and involvement with the justice system. My work is rooted in understanding the full picture of your life, not just the challenges you’re facing.

My approach to therapy

My approach starts with listening, really listening. I take the time to understand your story, your strengths, and what matters most to you. From there, we work together to create a path forward that feels realistic and meaningful. My style is collaborative, practical, and tailored to you. I draw from evidence-based approaches like CBT and strengths-based therapy, but I focus more on what it actually feels like to work together: honest conversations, steady support, and solutions that fit your life. You won’t find judgment here, just a space where you can show up as you are and feel supported in making changes at your own pace.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel uncertain, and that’s completely normal. In our sessions, you can expect a space that feels safe, steady, and real. This isn’t about being perfect or having all the answers, it’s about exploring what’s going on and making sense of it together. We’ll talk through what’s been weighing on you, identify patterns, and begin building tools to help you feel more in control and supported in your daily life. Over time, many clients notice a shift, feeling more clear, more grounded, and more confident in how they navigate challenges and relationships. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, understood, and a little more hopeful.

Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, and the fact that you’re here says a lot. If you’re ready, I’d be honored to support you. And if you’re still unsure, that’s okay too, we can take it one step at a time, together.
