Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Robert England, a therapist with 15 years of experience supporting individuals through life's challenges. I work with adults, adolescents, and seniors navigating substance use, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and major life transitions. I understand that reaching out for support can feel like a big step, especially when you've been carrying difficult emotions or trying to manage everything on your own. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and explore what's been weighing on you without judgment. Whether you're working through a difficult season, looking to change patterns that no longer serve you, or hoping to feel more in control of your life, we'll work together to recognize your strengths and develop practical ways to move forward.

My approach to therapy

I believe meaningful change begins with understanding your experiences, recognizing your strengths, and identifying realistic steps toward the life you want to build. We'll explore how substance use, anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma may be affecting your daily life, while also considering how grief, loss, relationships, and major life changes may contribute to your experiences. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you recognize the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and develop healthier ways of responding to challenges. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) helps us identify what's already working in your life and turn your goals into manageable steps. Through Motivational Interviewing, we'll explore your readiness for change, work through uncertainty, and strengthen your confidence in moving forward. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your needs, helping you develop practical coping skills, build resilience, and make meaningful changes at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy doesn't require having all the answers. Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, discuss what has brought you to therapy, and explore what you'd like to change or better understand. I'll listen to your experiences, concerns, and goals so we can establish a direction that feels meaningful to you. You can expect a supportive environment where you can speak honestly and feel respected without judgment. Together, we'll identify realistic goals and work on practical strategies that fit your everyday life. Whether you're navigating stress, working through difficult emotions, exploring changes around substance use, or processing past experiences, we'll take things one step at a time. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and more confident in your ability to navigate life's challenges and create lasting, positive change.
