Dr. Goldblatt comes to Headway after a distinguished tenured career of 40 years in the medical school and in the school of health professions at a New York university. He has practiced clinical psychology in private practice for almost 40 years.He received his doctorate at the University of Connecticut and is a licensed psychologist in the states of Rhode Island and New York. Dr. Goldblatt throughout his career has worked advancing technologies delivering psychotherapeutic services using cognitive behavioral technologies and now tele-psychology. He works with all adults and has particular interests with young adults and those individuals diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, His research expertise exploring neuro-cognitive potentials with Art Therapy and Parkinson’s disease and conflict have resulted in many publications and presentations at national and international conferences. He is an enthusiastic and positive clinician, psychotherapist, coach, mentor, instructor, guide and researcher.

My approach to therapy

The approach consists of finding each individuals life challenges and then finding cognitive and behavioral solutions to helping the client cope and find positive adaptive changes.

The first session will consist of listening to your personal story and uncovering your desired goals and outlining your current state of thought, feelings and behaviors that are obstacles to your overall wellbeing.
