Great to meet you!

I believe meaningful change begins with feeling understood, developing greater self-awareness, and learning how to respond differently to life's challenges. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I strive to create a space where you can speak openly, explore difficult experiences without judgment, and develop skills that make a meaningful difference in your everyday life.

I hold a Master's degree in Counseling and a Master's degree in Health Informatics, and I've been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri since 2009. My professional experience includes individual & couple's therapy, clinical leadership, behavioral health program development, and helping people navigate complex emotional and life challenges. This background allows me to combine clinical expertise with a thoughtful, structured, and individualized approach to care.

My approach to therapy

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, emotional challenges, and significant life transitions. I also enjoy working with individuals who want to better understand themselves, recognize recurring patterns, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.

My clinical approach draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor our work to your experiences, needs, and goals. Sometimes therapy involves learning practical tools to manage immediate challenges; other times, it means exploring deeper patterns, beliefs, and experiences that influence how you navigate the world.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We'll talk about your current concerns, relevant history, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll ask questions, listen carefully, and help us identify some initial goals. We'll also discuss confidentiality, what therapy looks like, and any questions you may have. There's no pressure to share everything at once. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and comfortable with the direction we're taking together.

My style is warm, conversational, direct when helpful, and grounded in genuine curiosity. I believe therapy should be more than simply talking about problems. It should help you develop insight, build confidence in your ability to navigate difficult experiences, and make choices that align with the person you want to become.

You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can begin wherever you are and work together toward meaningful, sustainable change.
