Great to meet you!

I have 25 years of experience working in-patient and out-patient treatment. I have worked with individuals with general mood disorders and addiction. I also use group therapy to connect others with similar issues to enable connections that the clients may not otherwise have. I believe that my clients prefer the warm, comfortable style that I use.

My approach to therapy

I use a combination of therapy styles such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Psychotherapy and Motivational Interviewing to create a comprehensive treatment that helps manage the symptoms of the issue while also understanding the difficulties the clients are experiencing. By teaching DBT skills to manage the distress effectively, the clients can learn to talk about the difficulties in therapy without becoming overwhelmed. This enables them to see how they can overcome the difficulties for a longer period of time.

What you can expect from me

A client can expect a warm environment to discuss the presenting issues and personal history. They will also learn about my personal history as a mental health provider and my treatment style to help the client to determine if the therapeutic relationship with me would be beneficial.
