Great to meet you!

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a master’s degree in nursing from UCLA. I’ve spent much of my career caring for people during some of the most difficult periods of their lives, and I know that reaching out for help—and finding someone you actually feel comfortable talking to—isn’t always easy. My goal is to understand what’s really going on, not just check off symptoms, and to work with you to find a treatment plan that makes sense for your life. I value honesty, humor, and straightforward conversations, and I want my patients to feel heard rather than judged.

My approach to therapy

I take a practical, straightforward approach to care. I want to understand not only the symptoms you’re experiencing, but how they’re affecting your relationships, work, and everyday life. I believe medication can be an important part of treatment, but I don’t believe in simply prescribing a medication and sending you on your way. We’ll talk through your options, what you’re comfortable with, and what you hope to get out of treatment. My goal is for you to understand the “why” behind our decisions and to feel like we’re making them together.

What you can expect from me

Our first visit is really about getting to know you and understanding what brought you in. I’ll ask about what you’ve been experiencing, what has and hasn’t worked in the past, and what you’d like to be different. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, disagreeing with me, or telling me when something doesn’t feel right. By the end of the visit, my goal is for us to have a clear sense of where we’re headed and a plan that you feel comfortable with.
