Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Guss. Since 2013, I've called Denver my home. My journey in mental health began with an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Oklahoma, followed by a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Over the past 9 years, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of populations, including my time at The Denver Element and the Transgender Center of the Rockies, where I've supported LGBTQIA+ and gender-expansive individuals since 2017.

My approach to therapy

I believe that no issue is too big or too small to address in therapy. My approach is eclectic, drawing from Relational Cultural Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Existential Therapy. This allows me to tailor my methods to best suit your unique needs and experiences. I love delving into the existential aspects of life and helping clients navigate their personal journeys.

What you can expect from me

In your first session with me, you can expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation focused on understanding your goals and what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your background, current challenges, and what you hope to change or achieve. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your needs, drawing from experience across a wide range of mental health concerns. Together, we’ll create a plan that feels realistic, supportive, and focused on your growth. All sessions are held securely through video telehealth for your comfort and convenience.
