Great to meet you!

You don’t have to face everything on your own. If you’re dealing with challenges related to mental health, addiction, or a combination of both, I’m here to support you. I know everyone’s journey looks different, so together we’ll find the approach that works best for you. Whether you’re adjusting to changes, trying to manage difficult emotions, or working on developing new skills, my goal is to provide a safe, accepting space for you to explore and grow. I want to help you recognize your strengths, build confidence, and move toward the goals that matter most in your life.

My approach to therapy

In counseling with me, you can expect an authentic and supportive space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. I focus on your strengths and unique abilities, and I’ll work with you to recognize and build on the resources you already have within and around you.

I will offer encouragement and empathy, and I’ll also gently challenge you to take steps toward the changes you want, especially when staying in your comfort zone is keeping you stuck. Together, we’ll notice when your actions or choices don't align with what you truly want and need, and we’ll explore what matters most to you so your life feels more aligned and meaningful.

Our work will focus on increasing your self-awareness, strengthening your resilience, and supporting real, positive transformation in your day-to-day life and relationships.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I will explain that I specialize in working with adults who feel ready to make meaningful changes in their lives, even if they have a long history of addiction, mental health challenges, or both. I will invite you to use that time as a safe, supportive space to talk honestly about what has been going on without fear of judgment or pressure to “fix everything” right away. We will then explore what brought you in now, clarify what “personal growth” means to you, and begin identifying a few concrete goals we both agree are important and realistic. As we talk, I will pay attention to your strengths, resilience, and the coping strategies that have helped you survive so far, and we will start building on those while gently beginning to name and frame any past traumas that still affect you. By the end of that first hour, you will have had a clearer sense of how we could work together, what our next steps might look like, and how therapy with me is aimed to support steady, lasting change rather than quick, temporary fixes.
