Great to meet you!

I hold a bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies and a master's degree in Counseling. My theoretical orientation and training are in psychodynamic therapy. Through this lens, he seeks to cultivate a therapeutic environment that honors the uniqueness of each individual while holding space for undiscovered potential. I have worked in both college counseling centers and in private practice for 5 years.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I work from a psychodynamic model which is an evidenced-based treatment that sees the individual as more than a symptom. Difficulties arise when the strategies for managing overwhelming feelings in early life often become repetitive cycles that make it difficult to achieve your current goals and foster deep connections with others. Our goal in working together is to cultivate a more flexible and adaptive mind that can bear the inevitable uncertainties and difficulties of life.

What you can expect from our first session

Care is a central value in my work with individuals and couples. It is my belief that care is a human right and is what allows us to grow to our fullest potential. My hope is that when you leave a session with me you will feel cared for by my attention to your experience. I also bring my psychological knowledge and training to help you gain insight into areas of growth that are easy to avoid.
