Great to meet you!

I have over 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate the demands of their lives, relationships, and emotions through evidence-based therapy. I am nationally recognized as a subject matter expert in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Safety Planning, and I serve as a trainer and consultant in multiple evidence-based treatment approaches.

In addition to these specialties, I am trained in several trauma-focused and health-related therapies, and I have spent decades working with both veterans and civilians across a wide range of clinical needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and grounded in evidence-based treatments. I believe that clients do best when they understand why we are using a particular strategy and feel empowered to take an active role in their own progress. Together, we identify clear goals and choose an approach that fits your needs.

My style is warm, direct, and supportive. I focus on helping you build insight, learn concrete skills, and create meaningful changes in your daily life. I work to balance understanding and validation with structured guidance so that you feel both heard and equipped to move forward.

Ultimately, my goal is to help you develop tools that you can rely on long after therapy ends—and to create a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, respectful, and truly collaborative.

What you can expect from me

Beginning therapy—or changing therapists—can feel daunting, but you deserve support that truly fits your needs. In our first session, you can expect a calm, non-judgmental space where we explore what brought you to therapy and what you hope to accomplish.

We will work together to clarify your current concerns, identify meaningful goals, and discuss treatment approaches that best match your needs. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of your treatment plan and the steps we’ll take together. My aim is to help you feel understood, supported, and confident about the path ahead.
