Great to meet you!

I graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and then completed Psychiatry Residency in San Diego CA.

I have specific training in multiple therapy types, including Psychodynamic, ACT, CBT, CPT, and MBSRT. I have a strong background in treatment of both Bipolar and Psychosis, in addition to notable experience with education and teaching (particularly of healthcare providers).

I have served in the US Navy, and have experience in the treatment of both Active Duty and Veteran populations, particularly Navy and Marines.

My approach to therapy

Care starts with a holistic mindset, and the understanding that there is rarely a single reason why people seek help. My approach starts with an understanding of what "Normal" has been, when it started to change, and where the friction and conflicts may arise. It is common that we will talk about diet, exercise, relationships, sexual wellness - all of these are part of mental health.

My typical approach is non-judgemental, guided by the current state of peer reviewed evidence, and is heavily guided based on your goals, and the steps to make process on them.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a relatively comprehensive coverage of medical and mental health symptoms, review of lifestyle and work, and a timeline based review of what, when, and how things have come to impact them.

Treatment discussions are always shared in decision making - to ensure that any treatment path we choose is one that has the evidence to back it up, and that it best targets your goals.
