Great to meet you!

My clients should know I really enjoy people. I find our ability to adapt and heal to be the most profound ability in the universe. That being said, I also believe in every person's worth and strive to empower others to utilize their own abilities to make life better for themselves. Hope that includes you.

My approach to therapy

I enjoy meeting people where they are. I have a background in mindfulness and bodywork as a Shiatsu practitioner, so building awareness of our nervous systems and the state it is in lead me to become a therapist. I have worked under clinicians who specialize in Trauma Informed CBT, Trauma Focused CBT, and Internal Family Systems. Utilizing these modalities helps me support others process their trauma and to reach deep inside to find the parts of themselves that have been set aside until they are allowed to surface again.

What you can expect from me

First sessions tend to touch on the main issues that are bringing the person in for therapy. However, first sessions are about getting an idea of the whole picture of who you are and where you come from. That leaves less time to get deep into the presenting issue. That is easier in the second session and sessions after that. Where continuity and connectivity are supported by building rapport and trust together.
