Robert Stewart

I work collaboratively with my clients, combining research-proven techniques with your preferences and self-knowledge. My personal style is easygoing, down to earth, and straightforward. I bring a sense of humor to sessions and believe therapy is more effective when it's an enjoyable and rewarding process. While my clinical approach is largely cognitive-behavioral, I integrate physiology, anthropology, and other schools of therapy, staying on my toes and thinking creatively for your unique context.

My goal is always to provide lasting change and, assuming it’s what you want, “graduate” you from therapy. I'm happy to chat or schedule a free consultation to help you determine if my style is a good fit for you.

I grew up in Washington, D.C. and spent four years in France and Italy. After working in consulting, photography, and teaching, I became a therapist in 2017. I enjoy family, friends, cars, and getting outdoors in my free time. I have master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University and USC and a BA magna cum laude in psychology from Duke University.
