Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in treating anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) using evidence-based approaches. My work is trauma-informed, collaborative, and focused on real-world change.

Rather than viewing symptoms as flaws or personal failures, we look at them in the context of life experiences, stress, and learned patterns that may no longer be serving you.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). These approaches help clients develop practical skills for responding differently to difficult thoughts, emotions, and anxiety-related patterns such as worry, rumination, intrusive thoughts, compulsions, and avoidance.

I work with many forms of OCD, including intrusive thoughts related to harm, contamination, morality, relationships, and uncertainty. These experiences can feel frightening or isolating, but they are well-recognized features of OCD and respond well to evidence-based treatment that gradually reduces compulsions and avoidance while building psychological flexibility.

Sessions are active and purposeful. We regularly check in about what is helping and adjust the approach as needed so therapy remains useful, relevant, and aligned with your goals.

What you can expect from me

If you’re unsure about starting therapy, I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can briefly discuss what you’re looking for, answer questions, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit.

During the first full session, we focus on understanding what brings you to therapy and what you would like to change or improve. We’ll talk about the concerns you’re experiencing, how they are affecting your daily life, and any relevant background that may help us understand the bigger picture.

I also explain how the therapy process works and answer any questions you may have about treatment. For clients seeking help with anxiety or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), this may include discussing approaches such as Exposure and Response Prevention and how treatment is introduced gradually and collaboratively.

By the end of the session, we will begin identifying goals and outlining a potential direction for treatment so you leave with a clearer understanding of how therapy may help.
