Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Roberta. Finding time and energy to nurture a healthy sense of self and well-being can feel daunting. Therapy can help. In our sessions, we will navigate the emotional landscape that makes us uniquely human. Developing emotional awareness and self-compassion will promote behaviors that align with your core values. In the therapeutic process, you will not only learn how to establish healthy boundaries in relationships, but you will also learn how to maintain these boundaries.

I started practicing therapy in 201. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Counselor. Since then, I have treated a wide range of mental health issues including substance use disorders, trauma and stressor-related disorders, eating disorders, depressive disorders, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and impulse-control disorders. I specialize in working with individuals dealing with domestic violence, familial conflict, body image issues, LGBTQIA+ concerns.

I encourage and support balance through my practice. Balance to live, work, play, and uncover your authentic self. If you're ready to start this journey towards healing and self-awareness, I invite you to reach out and take the first step. Together, we can work towards a brighter and more hopeful future.

My approach to therapy

During therapy sessions, I use both cognitive behavioral therapy approaches and mindfulness techniques to support you in utilizing healthy coping skills and aligning your actions with your values. My approach is rooted in the belief that therapy should be a collaborative and empowering experience, where you feel heard, understood, and supported.

What you can expect from me

A person is more than a diagnosis or a label. In therapy, we will find a balance that acknowledges and accepts the problem, while focusing on solutions that promote positive change. My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, and work towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.
