Great to meet you!

I bring more than a decade of experience in the helping professions, grounded in a BA in Criminal Justice from Clark Atlanta University and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Supervisor, I’ve worked across community mental health, private practice, and training environments, while providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. My clinical work centers on anxiety, depression, life transitions, and culturally responsive care.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy with a warm, collaborative, and practical style. I focus on creating a safe, structured space where clients feel genuinely seen and supported while also receiving clear guidance and tools they can use in their daily lives. I draw from evidence‐based practices like CBT, motivational interviewing, and solution‐focused strategies, choosing what fits each client rather than forcing a single model. I stay culturally responsive and strengths‐based, honoring each person’s lived experience and helping them build insight, identify patterns, and practice new behaviors that align with their goals. At the heart of my work is partnership—I walk alongside clients with compassion, clarity, and intention as they move toward healing and growth.

What you can expect from me

In a first session with me, clients can expect a calm, welcoming space where we slow things down and get to know each other in a way that feels natural rather than rushed. I spend time learning what brought them in, what they’ve been carrying, and what they hope will feel different moving forward. I explain my approach to therapy, answer any questions, and work collaboratively to identify immediate priorities so they leave with a sense of direction rather than uncertainty. I’m attentive to comfort and pacing—I check in often, honor boundaries, and make room for whatever emotions show up.
