I gained my experience primarily in Outpatient community mental health working with adults through out all life stages, adolescents and parents/children combination.

Prior to becoming a Therapist I worked in Social Work for many years with older adults and intellectually disabled individuals.

My educational background includes a BSW from Loras College and a MSW from the University of Iowa.

My approach to therapy

I believe in developing a strong therapeutic rapport with my clients to ensure they are comfortable and feel safe throughout the therapeutic process. I am accepting and non-judgmental, which allows me to work with people from all walks of life. I am clinically trained in CBT, DBT, Iowa PCIT, CPT and Motivational Interviewing.

I am person centered and use this approach to develop treatment plans with clients based on their identified needs. I strive to meet my clients where they are and help them gain skills and knowledge to get to where they want to be.
