Great to meet you!

I’m Robin Carroll, LMFT, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and have extensive experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and other results-driven modalities, while always meeting clients with empathy, care, and respect for where they are in their journey.

I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, stress management, and emotional regulation. Whether you’re seeking personal growth, healthier relationships, or tools to cope more effectively, my goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel understood and empowered. Together, we’ll build on your strengths and explore practical strategies for meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in collaboration and compassion. I believe therapy works best when clients feel truly seen and supported, so I focus on creating a safe, caring environment where you can explore challenges openly and without judgment. I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), using practical tools and strategies to help you identify patterns, build resilience, and manage emotions more effectively.

At the same time, I know every client’s journey is unique. I meet you where you are—whether that means working through anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, stress, or building healthier coping skills. Together, we’ll develop insights and strategies that fit your life, with the goal of fostering growth, balance, and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brings you to therapy, and exploring your goals and hopes for the process. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, challenges, and strengths, while also giving you the chance to ask me questions about my approach.

Together, we’ll begin identifying the areas you’d like to focus on, whether that’s managing anxiety or stress, improving relationships, finding healthier coping strategies, or building greater self-awareness. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of how we might work together and a foundation for moving forward. My intention is that you leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
