Great to meet you!

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you have been carrying life’s challenges on your own. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your child, I want you to know that you do not have to have everything figured out before walking through my door. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, sharing your story, and exploring your feelings without fear of judgment.

I work with children, youth, and adults, and I believe every person deserves to feel heard, valued, and understood. I approach therapy with compassion, patience, and an open heart, recognizing that everyone’s journey is different. I understand that healing takes time, and I strive to meet each client where they are while honoring their individual experiences, strengths, and goals.

My approach is holistic and client-centered. I incorporate evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques, to help clients develop healthy coping skills, build resilience, and navigate life’s challenges. Together, we explore practical strategies that support emotional wellness, personal growth, and healthier relationships.

I believe therapy is not about changing who you are or expecting perfection. It is about discovering your strengths, understanding yourself more deeply, and learning new ways to respond to life’s challenges. I value the connection we build throughout the therapeutic process and believe meaningful growth happens when you feel safe, supported, and empowered.

Most importantly, I want you to know that you do not have to walk this journey alone. I am here to listen, encourage, and work alongside you as you take steps toward healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, recognizing and celebrating progress along the way.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and client centered. I provide a safe, supportive space where children, youth, and adults feel heard, respected, and understood. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based interventions to support each client’s unique needs and goals.

During sessions, I use CBT to help clients recognize how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another and practice healthier ways of responding to challenges. Through SFBT, we identify existing strengths, explore what is working, and develop achievable steps toward positive change. Mindfulness techniques help clients practice staying present and managing difficult emotions, while strengths-based interventions encourage self-confidence and build on personal resources. I explain and practice these methods collaboratively, offering practical tools clients can use between sessions.

My approach remains grounded in these therapeutic modalities while allowing flexibility to meet each person’s experiences, preferences, and goals. I view therapy as a collaborative journey focused on building resilience, improving emotional well-being, and creating meaningful, lasting growth at a pace that feels comfortable for each client.

What you can expect from me

Your first therapy session will typically last 50–60 minutes and will begin with a brief introduction to the therapeutic process, confidentiality, and what you can expect from our work together. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant background information, and the goals you hope to achieve. Together, we will establish a comfortable pace and format for future sessions, including the areas you would like to prioritize and how we can best work toward your goals.

Your comfort and sense of safety are important. You are always in control of what you choose to share, and you may ask questions, request a pause, or let me know if something feels uncomfortable. You do not need to have all the answers or know exactly where to begin. Our first session is an opportunity to build trust, explore your needs, and begin creating a personalized path toward healing, growth, and emotional well-being.
