Great to meet you!
With more than 25 years of counseling experience, I bring a warm, practical, positive, and solution-focused approach to therapy—with compassion, encouragement, and a healthy dose of humor along the way. I earned my degree from the University of Kentucky and completed graduate-level education at Asbury University. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with college students and adults navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, relationships, parenting, grief, career and life transitions, and the everyday challenges that can leave us feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
I have particular experience working with first responders, law enforcement, military and helping professionals, as well as individuals and couples seeking healthier relationships, stronger communication, better boundaries, and greater connection. My areas of focus also include premarital counseling, marriage and relationship concerns, parenting, personal growth, and major life transitions.
Together, we’ll focus on where you are now, where you want to go, and practical ways to help you get there.
I also bring lived perspective to my work. I’ve been married for more than 43 years and am a mother and grandmother, so I understand that relationships, families, careers, and life itself can be wonderfully rewarding—and wonderfully complicated!
Most importantly, I’ll meet you where you are. You are the expert on your life; my role is to help you recognize your strengths, challenge patterns that may no longer serve you, and discover solutions that fit who you are. I consider it a privilege to hear your story and walk alongside you as you work toward becoming your best self, finding more joy and purpose, and creating a life of no regrets
