Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Dr. Robin Gibbs. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. I have extensive history involved in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, emotional disturbance, or depression within the State of Texas. My experience and training also includes working with couples, families, individuals, adults, children, and adolescents with a wide variety of mental health problems. I have a strong desire in helping people identify and achieve their personal goals by assisting them with the issues that are causing them distress, anxiety, and stress.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I primarily use evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), etc.. to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns and build healthier coping strategies. At the same time, I integrate elements of mindfulness, solution-focused techniques, and a strengths-based perspective to encourage personal growth.

I believe that therapy works best when clients feel safe, respected, and understood, so I focus on creating a non-judgmental environment where they can explore challenges openly. My goal is to empower clients by helping them develop practical tools they can use outside of sessions, while also addressing the deeper patterns that influence their emotions and behaviors. Ultimately, I see therapy as a partnership where we work together to promote healing, resilience, and positive change.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to walk away from sessions with greater self-awareness, practical coping tools, and a clearer sense of direction in their personal growth. I focus on helping them understand the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also equipping them with strategies they can use in daily life. Over time, clients often report feeling more empowered, resilient, and confident in their ability to manage challenges both inside and outside of therapy.
