Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical counselor with years of experience working with clients who struggle with a variety of mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. I have had great success helping clients with life transitions, relationship and family concerns or simply the stress that comes from everyday life. I have worked in a hospital setting, a partial hospital program and private practice. I am open minded, kind and dynamic. I believe wellness comes from a holistic perspective.

My approach to therapy

I use CBT to help you learn skills to retrain your brain to get unstuck from old thinking patterns, automatic negative thoughts and core beliefs. I also believe in mindfulness and self-compassion to learn how to set healthy boundaries, be present focused and practice self-care.

In addition, I have lead expressive therapy groups for many years. I am currently in the process of getting my EMDR certification

What you can expect from me

I believe that therapy is collaborative and is built on having an open and trusting relationship. You can expect to sometime have homework assignments to help you stay focused and motivated. I am passionate about what I do and want to help you feel better about yourself.
