Dr. Robin Kerner

I have been in practice for over 30 years and work primarily with adults struggling with a variety of life issues. Relationships, career, divorce, stress management, anxiety and depression are some of the things that bring my clients into therapy. I work individually, as well as with couples and provide group therapy (to resume post-Covid).

I am very engaged with my patients and take a fairly active approach to our work together. I believe in focusing on strengths and how we can help you achieve your goals and live your best life. I do think that psychological understanding is important but must be balanced with concrete action strategies to help you change the things that you identify as problematic patterns and relationships.

I hope that clients emerge from our work together with a better understanding of themselves, particularly their strengths and their dreams and goals, as well as strategies for overcoming the barriers that are getting in the way of achieving them. Most importantly, clients can expect to feel some relief from having therapy sessions together, even if the work brings up painful material, as well as positive movement in their lives.
