Great to meet you!

Humility, honesty and humor are what I value most in my relationships with my clients to create lasting change. I work with people from a variety of backgrounds and genders, but I specialize in helping women heal from relationship and attachment trauma so they can overcome anxiety, navigate changes in their relationships and careers, reconnect with their sense of self, and create healthier, more fulfilling connections.

My other specialty is working with those in the helping professions to support them in advocacy and in overcoming compassion fatigue and burnout.

I got my MSW (Master of Social Work) at Aurora University to become a therapist in 2012. I got my start in community mental health, working in post-adoption and focusing on trauma and attachment work with families. I transitioned to private practice in September 2021.

My approach to therapy

In our work together, I use a holistic and trauma-informed approach that blends mindfulness, somatic (body-based) strategies, and insight-oriented therapy. I also draw from ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to help you identify your values, make meaning from life’s challenges, and move forward in a way that feels authentic and grounded.

What you can expect from me

The women I work with may have their “stuff together’” on the outside but doubt themselves and their abilities to achieve success and happiness in their lives. They often feel as though they need to be perfect to be loved and accepted. They have difficulty setting boundaries that feel good to them because they assume the expectations of others are very high. They struggle with compassion fatigue, overwhelm and overthinking. They have a hard time talking about how they feel to friends and family because they don't even understand why they feel overwhelmed and undervalued.

Through some tears but mostly laughter, I help women gain the confidence they need to trust themselves to make choices they feel good about to live the full life that they deserve. They learn to trust their inner voice, stop over-functioning, and start living with more ease, clarity, and joy.
