Great to meet you!

I am Robin Selig (she, her, hers), an online therapist in New York, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C). With 20 years of clinical experience, I specialize in virtual maternal mental health, pregnancy support, and postpartum therapy for women, mothers, and parents across NYC and New York State.

My approach to therapy

I provide a safe, client-centered virtual space where we pace the work entirely around your comfort level. To help you navigate the profound identity shifts of motherhood, I utilize a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.

We will look at practical coping skills to manage anxiety or depression in your day-to-day routine, while also honoring and processing the broader identity shifts and systemic pressures you face as a parent

What you can expect from me

What’s important to me is that you feel seen, understood, and supported, and that you leave feeling a little better each time we meet. I am deeply interested in understanding you as a whole person and the unique context of the world you live in. I also use a lot of humor in my practice, so we are going to laugh a lot! I’ll probably give you a pop-culture example of what you’re going through, or tell you about a TikTok video or Instagram post I saw that perfectly represents exactly what we’re talking about.

Alongside this warm and real connection, you will walk away equipped with a personalized mental health toolkit. Together, we will differentiate clinical symptoms like postpartum anxiety or depression from normal parental stress. You will gain actionable CBT coping strategies to interrupt cycles of intrusive thoughts, reduce chronic worry, and manage maternal burnout. Ultimately, you can expect to gain a stronger sense of self-compassion, practical tools that fit into a busy parent's schedule, and a dedicated partner in your corner.
