Great to meet you!

If you're carrying anxiety that won't quiet down, grief that has reshaped your world, or emotional patterns you've wrestled with for years, you're in the right place. Life may look fine outside while, inside, you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure who you are. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, identity questions, and patterns that keep resurfacing. I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and board-certified, registered art therapist (ATR-BC) with a master's in art therapy and 20+ years of experience. Many of my clients are capable and high-functioning, yet quietly exhausted — juggling stress, relationships, and self-doubt while wondering whether therapy can really help. I offer a grounded, relational style for practical coping and deeper self-understanding, including affirming care for LGBTQIA+ and transgender clients.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is collaborative and paced to you. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to shift the thought patterns that fuel anxiety and depression, and from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you make room for hard feelings while moving toward what matters. I use Motivational Interviewing when you feel torn about change, plus a strengths-based, positive-psychology lens that treats you as resourceful, not broken. My humanistic, experiential roots keep us focused on what you actually experience in the room. As a board-certified art therapist, I offer creative, art-based approaches when words aren't enough — no art experience needed. Early on, we'll clarify what brought you in and what you want to be different, then set goals we revisit so you can feel your progress. Some sessions are practical and skills-focused; others go deeper into long-standing patterns

What you can expect from me

Over time, most clients notice anxiety that feels more manageable, a steadier mood, and more room to breathe between a trigger and their response. You can expect to understand your patterns instead of being run by them, set boundaries with less guilt, and make decisions that line up with your values. Grief and life transitions begin to feel less isolating, and harsh self-criticism softens into self-respect. My commitment is simple: I'll show up consistent, prepared, and honest, track what's working, and adjust when something isn't. You'll have a steady partner who takes your goals seriously and celebrates real progress. You don't have to have it all figured out — you just have to be willing to begin.
