Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Dr. Robyn Houlihan, LCSW.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, stress, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, and women’s mental health concerns. My work is rooted in compassionate, evidence-based care and a commitment to helping clients feel supported, understood, and empowered.

In my private practice, I specialize in women’s mental health and well-being, including stress related to fertility journeys, caregiving, burnout, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions. Over the years, I’ve worked with children, adults, and families in supportive housing, healthcare, and crisis intervention settings.

In addition to private practice, I work as a Senior Social Worker in a hospital setting specializing in crisis intervention and mental health support. I also hold a Doctorate in Social Work (DSW), where my research has focused on women’s leadership and well-being.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Whether you’re managing anxiety, navigating a difficult transition, processing grief, or simply feeling overwhelmed, therapy can provide space for healing, growth, and meaningful change.

Together, we’ll work to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected as you move toward the life you want for yourself.

My approach to therapy

I use a warm, collaborative, and evidence-based approach tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. My work integrates mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and humanistic approaches to help clients better understand patterns, manage emotions, and develop practical coping strategies.

I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we’ll work through challenges with compassion, insight, and practical tools that help foster meaningful growth, greater balance, and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. Together, we’ll work on developing practical coping skills, building confidence, and creating strategies to help you navigate life’s challenges more effectively.

My goal is to help you gain insight, feel more grounded, and make meaningful changes that support your overall well-being and long-term growth.

I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey toward healing and balance..
