Great to meet you!

Hello I am Dr. Robyn a licensed psychologist who assists clients in identifying their feelings and recognizing the negative self-talk that contributes to emotional struggles. I help clients raise self-awareness, foster self-compassion, strengthen coping skills, and enhance emotional resiliency. My clients describe me as empathetic, down-to-earth, and caring.

I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA with a course concentration in Clinical Neuropsychology.

My approach to therapy

I assist clients in identifying their emotions, to determine life experiences that have caused distress, and to identify their negative self-talk. I want my clients to practice self-compassion and to use a positive and accepting inner voice. I approach therapy primarily from a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) framework, using both acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)) and motivational interviewing, meaning that I strive to find what motivates each client to make positive behavioral change.

What you can expect from me

I want to work toward my clients goals. My goals are for clients to heal lingering suffering, self-doubt or shame that has caused a burden. I want clients to develop more self-compassion and greater awareness of negative self talk that present obstacles to their day to day peace of mind. I am open-minded and eager to explore conflicts that clients are struggling with. I use humor from time to time, ask questions to help clarify information, and use validation and encouragement in sessions.
