I have a Masters Degree in Individual Guidance and Counseling and a Master Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. In 1999, I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida.
I have focused my clinical expertise in the area of depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress, parenting and relationship issues. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy and adoption related issues.
I am well versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which looks at how your thoughts, feelings and behaviors influence each other.
I also work from a trauma-informed perspective. This is useful whether you have experienced trauma or not -- it means we’ll look at the bigger picture of what helped you become who you are and why you have the reactions or tendencies that influence how you feel today.
My job is to help you first identify your needs and goals, and then to work from there. You set the tone for therapy. I customize therapy to meet your unique needs.
