Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Rochelle Sladky, LPC, LCPAA, MS. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, honesty, and practical support. I work with adolescents, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, trauma-related issues, and emotional overwhelm.

My approach to therapy is collaborative and individualized. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to process emotions, build insight, and develop healthier coping strategies. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and productive, helping clients gain tools they can use in everyday life.

I have experience working in both mental health and child welfare settings, including supporting children, teens, foster families, and individuals navigating complex family dynamics. I often incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, mindfulness techniques, and strengths-based interventions tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.

Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, struggling in relationships, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, I am here to support you through the process of growth and healing. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, more connected to themselves, and more confident in moving forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and practical. I believe that meaningful change happens when clients feel genuinely heard, supported, and empowered while also being challenged to grow in healthy ways. I strive to create a nonjudgmental environment where clients can openly process difficult emotions, life experiences, relationship challenges, and patterns that may be keeping them stuck.

I work from a client-centered and strengths-based perspective, tailoring treatment to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, solution-focused techniques, and emotion regulation skills to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building healthier coping strategies.

I have experience working with anxiety, depression, stress management, self-esteem concerns, relationship issues, trauma-related symptoms, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, and family conflict. I also have extensive experience supporting adolescents, young adults, parents, and individuals navigating complex family systems and caregiving roles.

My style is compassionate but direct when needed. I believe therapy should not only provide emotional support, but also practical tools and insight that clients can apply outside of sessions to improve daily functioning, communication, boundaries, confidence, and overall emotional well-being.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to be a supportive, comfortable space where we begin getting to know each other and discussing what brings them to therapy. My goal is to help clients feel heard, understood, and safe to openly share their thoughts, emotions, and concerns without judgment.

During the first session, we will talk about current challenges, personal history, stressors, relationships, and any goals the client hopes to work toward in therapy. I also use this time to better understand emotional patterns, coping strategies, strengths, and areas where additional support may be helpful. Clients do not need to have everything “figured out” before starting therapy — we work through the process together at a pace that feels manageable.

I strive to create an environment that is compassionate, collaborative, and practical. Clients can expect both emotional support and active guidance, including coping tools, insight-building, and strategies they can begin applying outside of sessions. Together, we will identify goals that feel meaningful and realistic while building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, honesty, and respect.
