Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I believe prioritizing mental health is key to happiness and sense of wholeness in life. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, so congratulations on taking that step! I’ve been practicing for over 30 years with individuals and families, but in the last 2 decades, my main focus has been working with persons recovering or still struggling with drugs and/or alcohol abuse. Those who are struggling with anxiety and depression and feelings of failure.

My approach to therapy

I believe as an individual you deserve an approach that is tailor-made just for you. There is no one size fit all approach. Once we decide to work together, we’ll act as partners in your therapeutic journey. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavior Therapy along with the Psychodynamic Therapy in an effort to focus on self awareness, focusing on past conflicts, experiences and on specific problem solving goals. It’s important to me that we communicate openly and honestly. I want you to feel respected in our relationship. I’ll be here to listen to you, challenge you, and support you along the way.

What you can expect from me

I begin with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We’ll work together to figure this out! I strive to create a welcoming and safe environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing, being open and honest. From there, we’ll work together to achieve the goals you have identified.
