Great to meet you!

I’m Rocio Jenkins, MSN, APN, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing evidence-based, compassionate care to adults and adolescents across New Jersey.

I specialize in anxiety disorders, ADHD, depression, trauma-related conditions, and women’s mental health. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, burned out, or unsure whether medication is the right next step. My role is to help you gain clarity, emotional stability, and confidence in your treatment plan.

My approach to therapy

• Thoughtful medication management

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles

• Behavioral activation strategies

• A holistic understanding of sleep, stress, hormones, and lifestyle

I believe treatment works best when it is collaborative. You will never feel rushed or dismissed. We will review options carefully, discuss benefits and risks, and build a plan tailored specifically to your goals.

My background as a registered nurse and advanced practice provider allows me to look at mental health through both a clinical and whole-person lens.

What you can expect from me

What can clients expect from their first session?

Your first session is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation designed to fully understand your symptoms, history, and goals.

We will review: • Your current concerns and what prompted you to seek care • Mental health history and any previous treatment • Medical history and medications • Sleep, stress, lifestyle factors, and support systems

You will have time to speak openly about what has been working and what has not. I ask thoughtful, structured questions to ensure we gather the information needed to create a clear and accurate diagnosis.

By the end of the session, you can expect: • A clinical assessment and diagnostic impressions • Discussion of treatment options (therapy, medication, or both) • Education about risks, benefits, and alternatives • A collaborative treatment plan tailored to your goals

My priority is that you leave the session feeling heard, informed, and confident about next steps.
