Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Rocio. I know parenting and family life can feel overwhelming, especially when you're trying to support a child who is struggling while also balancing the many demands of everyday life. With more than 12 years of experience, I help children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, and difficult life transitions. Many of the families I work with are feeling exhausted, disconnected, or unsure how to help their child or strengthen communication at home. Together, we'll create a supportive space where you can better understand what's happening beneath the surface, improve relationships, and build practical tools that lead to meaningful change. My goal is to help children and families feel more confident, connected, and supported so they can move forward with greater clarity and resilience. I provide therapy in both English and Spanish and strive to make treatment approachable, collaborative, and tailored to each family's unique needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy combines warmth, empathy, and evidence-based care. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel understood and are equipped with practical strategies they can use outside of sessions. I draw from Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Strategic Family Therapy, Unified Protocol (UP), Bowen Family Systems Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Parent Management Training (PMT), and psychoeducational approaches to support lasting growth. Together, we'll identify the patterns contributing to anxiety, ADHD, depression, stress, trauma, anger, grief, and relationship difficulties while building healthier ways of coping and communicating. Sessions are collaborative and goal oriented, with an emphasis on strengthening parent-child relationships, improving emotional regulation, and helping children and families develop skills that create positive change both at home and in everyday life.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you and your family feel heard and respected. I believe therapy should provide both understanding and practical guidance, and I work collaboratively to help clients identify meaningful goals and develop tools that support lasting change. As we work together, you can expect to build stronger relationships, improve communication, strengthen emotional regulation skills, and feel more confident navigating life's challenges. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, ADHD, trauma, parenting concerns, depression, or family stress, my goal is to help you and your loved ones feel more connected, empowered, and hopeful about the future.
