Great to meet you!

Welcome ! I have been licensed as a Marriage and Family therapist for over 14-years. I am a bilingual therapist in English and Spanish. My experience is diverse and multifaceted. I have worked with students in a school-settings for 15-years, couples and LGBTQ communities. I work with sexual trauma and assault and help people navigate depression, PTSD and substance issues. Another area that is important to me is helping clients navigate grief and loss issues. I am committed to supporting your journey to peace, confidence and joy.

My approach to therapy

Everyone has a unique story. My approach to therapy has been informed by Narrative Therapy principles that have taught me that people are never passive in the face of trauma. I offer a critical yet compassionate look at the negative effects on people's lives and explore ways to make sense of them so that solutions become clearer. I have also been trained in EMDR, and clients find this helpful in becoming free of problems in their lives.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my goal is to make you feel heard and listened to. I will ask what you hope to achieve in therapy. I hope to make an environment that feels relaxed and welcoming so you can feel at ease, and we can begin to move forward to your preferred life.
