Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Roger Hancock. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas, and also a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) in Texas. For the past eleven years I have worked with adolescents and teenagers in the public school system and adults of all ages In a community college setting and in private practice. I specialize in generalized anxiety disorders (GAD) social anxiety, autism spectrum, self esteem issues, all types of trauma, PTSD and family dynamics (IFS). However this is not an all-inclusive list.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is one of unconditional positive regard - your past and/or background is not relevant, nor is the environment from which you came. What matters are any issues you may be facing now and where you want to go from here. I will help you devise a plan to help you get to where you ultimately want to be.

What you can expect from me

In that first season, my client “has the floor.” You will have my undivided attention without interruption for the entire session. The only time I will interrupt is to ask a question to clarify a statement. Only then can we talk about goals you would like to set for yourself and together work on a realistic treatment plan that will help you achieve those goals.
