Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Washington, DC, and Georgia. I provide telehealth services to clients, working with young adults and young adults specializing in anxiety and depression. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Feminist Therapy to help clients challenge unhelpful thought patterns, explore the impact of societal influences, and make meaningful progress toward their goals.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is client-centered, collaborative, and rooted in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Feminist Theory. I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns while also exploring the broader social and cultural factors that may influence their well-being. Through CBT, we work on developing practical strategies to manage anxiety and stress. Feminist Theory informs my approach by recognizing the impact of power dynamics, systemic oppression, and identity on mental health. I am particularly passionate about supporting people of the diaspora, and helping them navigate the complexities of cultural identity, intergenerational trauma, and systemic barriers. My goal is to create a supportive and affirming space where clients feel empowered to navigate challenges, build resilience, and make meaningful changes in their lives.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions with greater self-awareness, practical coping strategies, and a deeper understanding of how their cultural identity and systemic factors impact their mental health. My goal is to create a supportive space where they feel heard and validated while working toward meaningful change. They will develop tools to manage anxiety, depression, and stress more effectively, build resilience in the face of life transitions, and gain confidence in navigating challenges related to identity and systemic barriers.
