Great to meet you!

Since graduating from the Barry University Master's Social Work Program in 1989, I have earned a Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. I have worked in various fields of social work, with a focus on solutions and trauma-focused therapy. I have vast experience working with childhood trauma, relationship issues, parenting, and addictions. I am licensed in Florida, California, and Kentucky and hold the highest level of Licensure in all three states. For the past 12 years, I have maintained a private practice via teletherapy.

My approach to therapy

My counseling style is relaxed and supportive, with appropriate humor when we look at life. Many of my clients have said, "They appreciate my support and straightforwardness." I take the time to listen and understand. For me, it's an honor to do this work. Your time is valuable, and I aim to help you work through what matters most at your pace.

What you can expect from me

We will discuss what brings you to counseling and what you want from counseling. We will complete an initial assessment while we discuss your counseling goals. In sessions, together, we will employ evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, interpersonal psycho-dynamic therapy, narrative therapy, inner dialogue, and play.
